King of France, has captured, off the coast of Portugal, four Venetian vessels, laden with a great quantity of merchandise belonging to Spanish subjects.
As the capture is contrary to the treaties with France, Columbus has preferred to go to an English port in order to divide the booty there.
The King is requested to arrest the said Columbus, and to restore
the goods to their owners.

FERNANDO Y ISABEL A [ ] REY DE INGLATERRA
Colón, vicealmirante y comandante de la flota de la Rey de Francia, ha capturado, frente a la costa de Portugal, cuatro Buques venecianos, cargados con una gran cantidad de mercancías perteneciente a súbditos españoles.
Como la captura es contraria a los tratados con Francia, Colón ha preferido ir a un puerto inglés para dividir el botín allí.
Se le pide al Rey que arreste a dicho Colón y que devuelva los bienes a sus dueños.

Este extracto parte de un libro Ingles de autor Ingles ,por lo tanto el hecho que ponga Columbus,no nos dice nada,porque tambien exponen al rey Fernando como Ferdinand e Isabel como Isabella..
